Fish habitat and hydropower production

Optimalisation of fish habitat and hydropower production in River Surna, Mid-Norway. Phase I: Development and application of model tools

The main presentation is in norwegian.

SINTEF work towards a more salmonid-friendly flow regime in the regulated River Surna in Mid-Norway combined with an optimalisation of hydropower production, by use of meso habitat classification linked to electrofishing data, habitat-hydraulic modelling and identifying critical ecohydrological events, evaluation of risk and impact of stranding of juvenile salmonids due to rapid dewatering caused by flow reduction in Trollheim hydropower station.
