Introduction

Communication systems may either have a point-to-point connection, or they may be networks containing numerous nodes or units. A unit in a specific network may occasionally transfer information to another type of network. Information handling between different networks is often a great challenge.

Our research is focused on optimalisation of data flow between nodes and on efficient transportation of information between different types of networks, such as satellite communication to wireless urbane networks (WiFi, WiMax).

With regard to sensor networks, we focus on issues such as network configuration, management, efficient data collection, wakeup and early warning algorithms.
