E3Car - Nanoelectronics for an Energy Efficient Electrical Car

E3Car is a research project within the ENIAC - Technology Platform for Nanoelectronics. There are 33 project partners participating and 11 different European countries are represented in the consortium.

Vision - Advancement of technologies for environmentally friendly and energy efficient vehicles, that contributes to the European targets for reducing CO2 emission, fossil fuel liquids consumption and the development of “green technologies”. The project aims at creating a breakthrough in the development of nanoelectronics technologies, devices, miniaturized sub systems for the next generation electric vehicles and accelerates the commercialising of the electric vehicles segment.

Objective - Development of nanoelectronics technologies, devices, circuits architectures and modules for electrical and hybrid vehicles and demonstration of these modules in final systems.

Technology - Power train, power conversion, power management, energy recovery and battery management. Fail safe and fault tolerant systems to improve reliability and increase lifetime.
