THE Norwegian Seafood Federation is taking the initiative for getting the escape of fish from fish farms properly investigated. The aim is to collect as much information as possible about these escape occasions in order to identify potential weaknesses in today’s fish farms and to recommend potential improvements

The Norwegian Fishery and Aquaculture Industry Research Fund (FHF) is funding the work and Ulf Winther at Sintef fisheries and aquaculture has been appointed project director.
