iCoast - Integrated coastal area management - Working out a framework for sustainable development. Large research program with 11 research partner and 6 user partners.

PreventEscape - FP7 project commences. The escape of fish from sea-cage aquaculture is perceived as a serious threat to natural biodiversity in Europe's marine waters.

PROMICROBE - A new EU-project on microbiology and fish. Bacteria as postive actors in the larval- and juvenile stages of Atlantic cod, seabass and tilapia.

Energy optimization of bottom trawls. Preliminary calculations have shown that optimization of the gear with respect to energy efficiency may lead to significant savings for the industry.

CREATE The Centre for Research-based innovation in Aquaculture Technology (CREATE) will carry out research and development to enable innovation of technology, products and solutions specifically to improve the grow-out phase of marine fish culture. SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture will host the centre and CREATE have a total budget of  175 million NOK over 8 years.
