Jet-Fire

Jet-Fire Resistance Test of Passive Fire Protection Materials

Jet-fire represents an important fire risk in offshore installations. The potential jet-fires may vary with respect to flame length, heat flux and velocities. Important factors are the type, conditions, pressure and availability of the fuel, geometry of the rupture and the environment. Different geometry of the constructions may also be an important parameter regarding the resistance of the passive fire protection exposed to a jet-fire.
