The philosophy behind this project is a holistic approach to addressing the needs of the SME sector in Macedonia, where the universities in collaboration with government and SMEs together strive to better support the SME sector. Characteristics of this project are:

• promote innovation and entrepreneurship
• holistic approach to SME support
• prevent brain drain
• regional integration and international cooperation
• development of applied R&D capability
